Procurement Engineer - Civil & Marine

About the role

The Procurement Engineer – Marine / Infrastructure supports complex marine and heavy civil projects by ensuring timely, cost‑effective, and technically compliant procurement of materials, equipment, and specialist subcontract packages.

Key responsibilities

• Execute procurement of marine and infrastructure packages such as piling systems, steel structures, dredging works, fender systems, geotextiles, rock armour and revetments.
• Prepare RFQs with correct scope, drawings, specifications, BOQs and method constraints.
• Coordinate with engineering on design intent, constructability, temporary works and marine methodology.
• Float enquiries to approved suppliers, perform techno‑commercial evaluations and prepare comparison sheets.
• Support negotiations on pricing, delivery schedules, logistics and marine constraints, and issue LOIs/POs/subcontract agreements.
• Maintain procurement logs, long‑lead item trackers and delivery schedules while ensuring compliance with BESIX procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years procurement experience in construction, focusing on civil marine projects in the Middle East.
• Prior experience in KSA preferred.
• Experience conducting supplier audits for quality and safety compliance.
