Procurement Lead – Infrastructure, Mining & Oil & Gas (Hindi Speaker)

About the role

Black Pearl Consult seeks an experienced Procurement Lead to manage end‑to‑end sourcing for large infrastructure, mining and oil & gas projects across Africa. The role requires strong commercial acumen, fluency in Hindi and English, and the ability to navigate fast‑paced, complex project environments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead procurement from sourcing, tendering, negotiation, contract award to delivery and supplier performance management.
• Develop procurement strategies aligned with project budgets, timelines and objectives.
• Source and evaluate local and international suppliers, contractors and service providers in the targeted sectors.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, SLAs and contractual conditions.
• Manage procurement of construction materials, heavy equipment, machinery, spare parts and related services.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers and distributors across African markets.
• Oversee RFQs, RFPs, tender evaluations, purchase orders and contract documentation.
• Monitor supplier performance, quality standards, delivery timelines and compliance.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and mitigate supply‑chain risks.
• Collaborate with project management, engineering, finance, logistics and site teams to forecast needs and resolve issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering or related field.
• 8‑10 years of procurement experience in infrastructure, mining, oil & gas or large‑scale construction projects.
• Proven experience managing procurement activities in African countries.
• Strong knowledge of local and international sourcing, supplier evaluation, commercial negotiations and contract management.
• Established supplier network and understanding of logistics challenges in African markets.
• Fluency in Hindi and English.
