Procurement Officer - Aluminium & Glass

About the role

Careers International is hiring a Procurement Officer in Dubai for a full-time position in the construction sector. The role covers purchasing and sourcing of aluminium profiles, glass, accessories, hardware and tools, vendor management, inventory and cost control, and compliance with company policies and UAE regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and select reliable local and international suppliers, and prepare and issue RFQs and purchase orders while negotiating pricing, delivery schedules and payment terms.
• Source alternative suppliers and materials to reduce costs and avoid project delays.
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors, evaluate their performance and follow up on delayed orders.
• Coordinate with the store and project team to track material usage and keep stock levels optimal, and monitor procurement budgets.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, invoices and delivery notes, and ensure procurement complies with company policies and UAE regulations.
• Keep proper documentation for internal and external audits and coordinate with finance for timely supplier payments.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of procurement experience in the aluminium and glass or construction industry in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of aluminium systems, glass specifications and fabrication accessories.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and organisational skills; able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• A UAE driving licence is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle.
• Use of procurement tools.
