Product Manager – Digital Retail (Akeneo PIM)

About the role

The Product Owner is responsible for daily ownership, roadmap and continuous optimisation of the Akeneo PIM system while supporting the eCommerce platform and CMS. This role links business needs with technical delivery across GCC and Asian markets.

Key responsibilities

• Own the Akeneo PIM product backlog, roadmap and taxonomy, ensuring data quality and catalog health across GCC and Asian markets.
• Support the eCommerce platforms (Kibo Commerce, Shopify) and manage the flow of product data from PIM to storefronts and mobile apps.
• Coordinate with CMS (HCL DX) to maintain consistent product and campaign content across brands and locales.
• Define and maintain role‑based access controls and reporting dashboards for the PIM, eCommerce and CMS platforms.
• Collaborate with engineering, data, marketing and external technology partners to translate business requirements into technical specifications and guide integrations (SAP, APIs, Algolia).

Required profile

• 3+ years of product ownership or product management experience in eCommerce or digital retail.
• Hands‑on experience with Akeneo PIM, including data modelling, attributes, families and automation rules.
• Proficiency with eCommerce platforms such as Kibo Commerce or Shopify and a CMS like HCL DX.
• Solid understanding of product/solution architecture and system integrations including SAP, APIs and middleware.
