Production Testing Engineer II

About the role

We are looking for a senior Production Testing Engineer to lead the development and improvement of in‑line and end‑of‑line testing across multiple product lines. The role offers broad ownership, autonomy and the chance to shape test strategy in a high‑volume manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the production test strategy, driving standardisation, automation and continuous improvement.
• Lead test workstreams, set priorities, make technical decisions and act as the technical authority.
• Develop functional and end‑of‑line test equipment, fixtures, test plans and automated sequences.
• Introduce and transfer test equipment and procedures for new product introductions and production ramp‑up.
• Define data‑acquisition strategies, use test and analysis tools to process results, monitor trends and guide decisions.
• Review procedures, set test limits and improve coverage, repeatability, fault detection and isolation.
• Support DFT, DFM, PFMEA, MSA, root‑cause analysis and troubleshooting activities.
• Provide design feedback to improve manufacturability, testability, quality and output.
• Prepare equipment specifications in line with UAE, GCC, ECAS and MoIAT safety requirements.
• Evaluate quotations, support CAPEX and coordinate suppliers to meet schedule and budget.
• Lead hardware troubleshooting, reduce line failures, train technicians and support serial production.
• Represent production testing in reviews, audits and supplier discussions and mentor engineers and technicians.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechanical Engineering, Physical Sciences or related field (Master’s degree advantageous).
• Minimum 8 years of experience in production or R&D testing and product design in high‑volume manufacturing.
• Proven track record leading test projects end‑to‑end and acting as a technical authority.
• Experience in aerospace, automotive, consumer electronics or similar industrial sectors.
• Hands‑on experience developing functional or end‑of‑line test equipment.
• Knowledge of machine safety and UAE conformity requirements.
