Project Coordinator – Ocean & Logistics

About the role

A.P. Moller - Maersk is hiring a Project Coordinator in Dubai for its operations team covering ocean and logistics. The role owns the operational execution of shipment files, from creation through closure, and acts as the main point of contact for customers on the end-to-end shipment lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Create and execute customer shipments according to the implementation plan and customer requirements, with attention to QHSE and reporting.
• Act as the primary contact for customers, ensuring smooth execution of the shipment lifecycle including inland delivery, and liaise with suppliers to prepare transport plans.
• Proactively track shipments and notify customers of deviations from the transport plan, offering suggested solutions or alternatives.
• Onboard customers and build strong, collaborative relationships, going the extra mile to solve their problems.
• Manage day-to-day customer relationships, daily operational execution and daily EDI updates.
• Create SO/PO and shipment files in operational systems and keep them up to date.
• Protect the interests of third-party (non-Maersk) suppliers and partners, and ensure execution and reporting meet compliance requirements.

Required profile

• Intermediate career level with 2 years of experience.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Very organized, proactive and dynamic, with strong prioritization and execution abilities.
• Understanding of local regulations.
