Project Engineer - Aluminium & Glass Works

About the role

Careers International is hiring a Project Engineer in Dubai for a construction project involving aluminium and glass works such as curtain walls, cladding, doors, windows and skylights. The role covers technical review, site supervision and project support.

Key responsibilities

• Review project drawings, specifications and technical submittals, and coordinate with the design team so shop drawings match project requirements
• Assist with material take-offs, BOQ preparation and procurement coordination
• Liaise with consultants, clients, main contractors and internal departments to keep the project moving smoothly
• Supervise installation of aluminium and glass works, ensuring work follows approved drawings and safety standards
• Resolve site issues quickly to minimise disruption to the schedule and help manage subcontractors and labour teams
• Prepare daily and weekly site progress reports, track timelines, costs and variations, and take part in site meetings
• Ensure quality assurance and quality control procedures are followed on site

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical or Architectural Engineering
• 5+ years of UAE experience in aluminium and glass or façade engineering
• Sound knowledge of curtain wall systems, aluminium cladding, glazing and related products
• Strong understanding of UAE building codes and safety regulations; UAE driving licence preferred

• AutoCAD and MS Office (especially Excel)
