Project Manager - Civil Construction

About the role

Careers International is recruiting a Project Manager for civil construction in Dubai. The role oversees construction projects from inception to completion, delivering them on time, within budget and to the required quality standards, while planning, coordinating resources, managing stakeholders and ensuring compliance with safety and contractual requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop project execution plans, define scope, goals and deliverables, set schedules and milestones, and ensure contractual and industry-standard compliance.
• Monitor budgets, work with the commercial team and quantity surveyors, approve variations, claims and change orders, and mitigate cost overruns.
• Lead site engineers, supervisors and subcontractors, conduct site inspections, resolve technical issues and ensure efficient use of labour, materials and equipment.
• Manage contracts, risks, disputes and permits, and enforce HSE policies through regular safety audits and risk assessments.
• Ensure quality control, liaise with consultants and QA/QC teams, and report progress, delays and documentation to clients and consultants.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• Minimum 10-15 years of experience in construction project management.
• Preferred certifications: PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent.

Required skills

• Construction methodologies, FIDIC, NEC and JCT contracts, and project controls.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations and permit requirements.
