QA/QC Electrical Engineer – Substation & Power Transmission

About the role

The QA/QC Engineer will oversee the Project Quality Management System for large‑scale power and water transmission projects in Abu Dhabi. This PMC role involves coordinating technical and functional aspects across multiple consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Support implementation and maintenance of the Program Quality Management System across all assigned projects.
• Monitor compliance of consultants and contractors with approved Project Quality Plans, procedures, specifications, and contractual requirements.
• Manage internal and external audit schedules, follow‑up on audit notifications, NCRs, observations, and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
• Coordinate collection, review, verification, and consolidation of monthly QA/QC reports and weekly dashboards.
• Monitor KPI implementation, track performance against targets, and prepare performance summaries for management.
• Participate in site quality surveillance visits, review Inspection & Test Plans, and verify implementation of approved procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification.
• Minimum 5 + years of experience in QA/QC on large‑scale electrical/substation projects.
• Proven experience working on programmes with multiple consultants and EPC contractors.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
