QC Inspector – Painting & Coating

About the role

We are looking for a QC Inspector (Painting & Coating) to join our quality controls team on a project in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Review project technical specifications, drawings and BOQ to determine quality criteria for coating and painting works.
• Perform verification inspections of work elements to ensure compliance with procedures and project requirements.
• Participate in on‑site receiving inspection of coating and painting materials.
• Prepare and review concrete specifications, mix designs and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).
• Apply coating and painting testing standards and conduct on‑shore and off‑shore construction inspections.

Required profile

• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years experience as a Coating & Painting QC Inspector in the oil & gas industry.
• Familiarity with Shell DEP’s, international codes and standards.
• Certification such as NACE Level II or CSWIP/BGAS Grade 2.
• Fluency in English; experience with ADNOC projects preferred.

Required skills

• Coating and painting inspection techniques.
• Preparation and review of ITPs, concrete specifications and mix designs.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
