Quantity Surveyor - Construction Projects

About the role

BCD Global is looking for an analytical, commercially focused Quantity Surveyor to manage cost planning, contract administration and financial control across its construction projects in Dubai. The role works closely with project teams, consultants, contractors and suppliers to keep projects within budget and contractual commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate subcontracts, consultancy and supply contracts under FIDIC standard conditions and UAE law
• Take off structural, architectural and MEP quantities from IFC drawings to prepare BOQs and tender estimates
• Evaluate, verify and issue interim payment certificates against site progress
• Review and price variation orders, scope changes and value engineering proposals
• Handle commercial disputes, breach-of-contract claims, payment defaults and subcontractor back charges
• Evaluate EOT claims, delay damages, disruption costs and liquidated damages
• Manage contract guarantees, advance payment bonds, retention releases and insurance policies
• Prepare final accounts and negotiate commercial close-outs
• Pre-contract: draft contract terms, tender documents and BOQs aligned with UAE construction law
• Post-contract: manage monthly payment certificates, site measurements, cost value reconciliations and cash flow
• Administer FIDIC clauses, main and subcontract agreements, NDAs, performance bonds and bank guarantees
