Quantity Surveyor

About the role

The Quantity Surveyor will lead commercial management across development projects, ensuring budgets, timelines, and company policies are adhered to. This senior position reports to the Line Manager and Senior Director – Commercial.

Key responsibilities

• Review, check, and guide all commercial management and post‑contract administration matters, including contractual correspondence.
• Organise and facilitate meetings with consultants, project directors/managers, and development directors/managers to execute quantity surveying functions.
• Monitor project budgets, commitments, and change‑management processes throughout the development cycle.
• Oversee and coordinate all quantity surveying and commercial management activities, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Advise on contractual entitlements for variations and claims, and manage extensions of time for completion.
• Keep senior commercial leadership informed of ongoing activities, issues, and potential impacts on projects.
• Support and manage junior Quantity Surveyors in the execution of their duties.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
• 8‑10 years of total experience, including 2‑3 years in quantity surveying for a developer.
• Proven experience in property development and consultancy environments.
