Quantity Surveyor - Retail Fit-Out

About the role

A real estate and development team is hiring a Quantity Surveyor with retail fit-out experience and strong AutoCAD and 3D design skills. The role supports retail store fit-outs, refurbishments and new store openings by managing cost planning, tendering, design coordination and project documentation, combining commercial expertise with technical design capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs), tender documents and cost comparisons; evaluate contractor quotations
• Assist in planning, tracking and coordinating retail development projects across multiple locations
• Monitor project progress, timelines and deliverables, and prepare project status reports
• Develop AutoCAD 2D drawings for retail layouts, interiors and MEP coordination, and create 3D models and visualisations
• Convert concepts into technical drawings for contractors and vendors, updating them to stakeholder feedback and ensuring compliance with brand standards, construction requirements and local regulations
• Coordinate with Project Managers, consultants, contractors, suppliers, operations, finance and leasing teams
• Support landlord, mall and authority approvals through accurate documentation, and maintain records of tenders, drawings, revisions and approvals
• Assist with store handover documentation and project close-out

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Architecture, Interior Design, Civil Engineering or a related field
• 2-5 years of experience in retail fit-out, commercial projects or project coordination
• Strong knowledge of retail fit-out standards, UAE building codes and mall regulations
• Ability to combine technical, commercial and design skills in a fast-paced environment
