Radiographer - Diagnostic Imaging

About the role

A leading private healthcare group is looking for a skilled, patient-focused Radiographer to join its Diagnostic Imaging team. The Radiographer performs high-quality diagnostic imaging examinations while ensuring patient care, radiation safety and compliance with clinical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures according to physician requests and departmental protocols.
• Operate radiology equipment such as X-ray, fluoroscopy, mobile X-ray and other imaging modalities.
• Ensure optimal image quality while following radiation protection and safety standards.
• Prepare and position patients accurately, and verify patient identification and examination requirements.
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation in hospital information systems.
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals.
• Report equipment malfunctions and follow maintenance and quality control procedures.
• Take part in quality improvement, patient safety and accreditation initiatives.
• Provide compassionate care and clear instructions to patients during imaging.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Medical Imaging, Radiography or an equivalent recognised qualification.
• Valid Radiographer licence or eligibility for Abu Dhabi DOH licensing.
• Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a hospital or diagnostic imaging setting.
• Preferred: experience in a multi-specialty hospital; cross-training in CT, MRI, Mammography or Interventional Radiology is an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of radiographic techniques, radiation safety and patient positioning.
• Experience with digital radiography and PACS/RIS systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Preferred: basic life support (BLS) certification.
