Rare Disease Medical Partner – Hematology/Nephrology/Transplant

About the role

AstraZeneca is seeking a Rare Disease Medical Partner to lead scientific and strategic initiatives for hematology, nephrology and transplant therapies across the UAE. This senior field‑based position blends deep medical expertise with ecosystem development to accelerate diagnosis, evidence generation and patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with cross‑functional brand and launch teams to shape regional medical strategies and evidence plans.
• Translate global strategies into local implementation roadmaps covering diagnosis, treatment pathways and patient outcomes.
• Build and maintain relationships with key external experts, academic centers, national societies, policy makers and patient groups.
• Lead multi‑stakeholder programs such as registries, referral networks and real‑world evidence studies.
• Provide medical insights and decision support to internal teams and act as a trusted scientific voice.

Required profile

• Senior scientific background in rare diseases, hematology, nephrology or transplant.
• Proven experience in medical leadership, stakeholder engagement and evidence generation.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast‑moving, multi‑disciplinary environment.
