Registered Nurse – Occupational Health & Emergency Care

About the role

The Registered Nurse will provide emergency and occupational health services within the on‑site clinic of Provita International Medical Center in Al Ain. The role combines first‑aid response, health assessments, clinic management and compliance with UAE health regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver immediate first‑aid and emergency nursing care, perform triage, and coordinate ambulance transfers.
• Conduct pre‑employment, periodic and return‑to‑work health assessments and support fitness‑for‑duty evaluations.
• Manage daily clinic operations, maintain equipment readiness (AED, oxygen, suction) and ensure proper medication storage.
• Maintain confidential employee medical records, prepare monthly utilization reports and support regulatory audits.
• Participate in incident investigation, root‑cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
• Implement infection‑prevention measures, handle biomedical waste and monitor hand‑hygiene compliance.
• Ensure adherence to Department of Health (DOH) and OSHAD requirements, including license renewal and emergency preparedness.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience, including at least 2 years in an Emergency Department.
• Valid DOH Registered Nurse license and current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written) and willingness to work across departments.
• Experience with occupational health services and regulatory compliance in the UAE.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) documentation.
• Operation of emergency equipment such as AED, oxygen cylinders and suction units.
