Registered Nurse – Outpatient Department

About the role

The Registered Nurse will support daily operations of the Outpatient Clinics at Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Hospital, ensuring smooth patient flow, safe clinical practice, and high‑quality care. The role involves assisting with clinical procedures, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and maintaining accurate documentation in line with hospital policies.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate efficient patient flow to deliver a seamless outpatient experience.
• Perform nursing assessments and procedures within scope, including vital signs monitoring, venipuncture, specimen collection, and medication administration.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes promptly in the Cerner electronic medical record.
• Support physicians and allied health professionals during consultations, examinations, and outpatient procedures.
• Ensure compliance with M42 policies, infection prevention and control standards, patient safety requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
• Provide patient and family education on treatment plans, medications, procedures, and follow‑up care.
• Collaborate with Pharmacy, Laboratory, Radiology, and Revenue Cycle Management to ensure coordinated care.
• Participate in quality‑improvement initiatives, incident reporting, and management of clinical supplies and equipment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent.
• Valid medical license or eligibility from the Department of Health (DOH) as a Registered Nurse.
• 3–5 years of experience in an outpatient setting.
• Proven leadership and team‑lead experience.
• Strong critical‑thinking and decision‑making abilities.
