Research Fellow (up to one academic semester)

About the role

Canadian University Dubai (CUD) invites applications from established researchers for Research Fellow appointments of up to one academic semester. The programme supports joint research, high-quality publications, international collaboration and research development. The contract specifies the appointment category, duration, workload, campus attendance, any approved remote collaboration, remuneration and support.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake joint research with CUD faculty and contribute to scholarly publications.
• Deliver research seminars or workshops.
• Meet the individual research objectives, deliverables and reporting requirements set out in the appointment contract.

Required profile

• A PhD in a discipline relevant to CUD's academic programmes and research priorities.
• A sustained record of high-quality publications in reputable indexed journals.
• Evidence of research impact appropriate to their discipline and career stage.
• Experience in collaborative research and the ability to contribute to faculty and student research development.
• International research collaboration, externally funded projects and interdisciplinary research experience are advantages.
• Applicants employed elsewhere must obtain home institution approval; appointments are subject to security clearance, university approval and a signed contract.
