Restaurant Manager

About the role

Le Méridien in Fujairah is hiring a full-time Restaurant Manager (job number 26143783) to oversee its restaurants, bars and room service. The manager supervises daily operations, supports menu planning, keeps sanitation standards and maximizes guest and employee satisfaction while improving financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage employees, understand their roles and cover for them in their absence
• Maintain service and sanitation standards in the restaurant, bar/lounge and room service areas
• Review staffing levels to meet guest service, operational and financial needs
• Lead the food and beverage team, coach and mentor staff, and ensure compliance with food safety, liquor laws and hotel policies
• Provide exceptional customer service, handle guest complaints and gather feedback to drive continuous improvement
• Manage human resources: set performance standards, run training and development, and improve retention
• Oversee the department's finances, including purchasing and invoice payments
• Assist servers and hosts during peak meal periods and supervise shifts in the absence of the Assistant Restaurant Manager

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED, or a 2-year accredited degree in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or a related field
• 4 years of experience in food and beverage, culinary or a related profession, or 2 years of experience with a degree
