Restaurant Supervisor - In-Room Dining

About the role

The InterContinental Fujairah Resort, a five-star resort on Al Aqah Beach with 190 rooms, event space and restaurants, is looking for a Restaurant Supervisor to oversee daily In-Room Dining operations. The supervisor ensures exceptional guest satisfaction, service quality and operational efficiency, supports the team, handles guest requests and complaints, and coordinates with the kitchen and other departments.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily In-Room Dining operations, ensuring efficient service and compliance with hotel and brand standards.
• Lead, train and motivate the team to deliver personalized guest service and meet departmental objectives.
• Oversee orders from order taking and preparation through delivery, setup and collection, ensuring accuracy and presentation.
• Monitor food and beverage quality, service consistency, hygiene and presentation.
• Handle guest enquiries, special requests and complaints, applying effective service recovery.
• Coordinate with the Kitchen, Front Office, Housekeeping and other departments.
• Monitor staffing, duty schedules, briefings and task allocation.
• Control operating supplies, equipment and inventory while minimizing wastage.
• Monitor guest feedback and service performance, implementing corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety, hygiene, health and safety and hotel procedures.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Food & Beverage operations, preferably in a supervisory role in a hotel.
• Previous experience in In-Room Dining or Room Service is required.
• Good command of spoken and written English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of POS and Opera systems; familiarity with other hotel operating systems is an advantage.
