Retail Sales Representative - IKEA Dalma

About the role

The Retail Sales Representative Showroom at IKEA Dalma builds rapport and credibility with customers to help them purchase IKEA products while keeping high merchandising standards and ensuring product availability. The role goes beyond sales targets, and success is measured by sales performance, customer satisfaction and adherence to company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Promote sales by spotting opportunities, solving problems and suggesting additional purchases to reach targets.
• Suggest improvements to sales strategies, identify slow-moving items and recommend actions to increase sales.
• Maintain product displays according to company-approved merchandising standards.
• Become an expert on the Home Furnishing Business product range and stay informed on local market trends from customers and competitors.
• Keep up with product range changes, including new items and updates, and give feedback to the Sales Manager on customer issues or product gaps.
• Inspect the assigned area daily for price labels, product tags and other communication media.
• Review daily stock levels, recommend orders to the Shopkeeper and coordinate with the Procurement Executive on stock and availability.
• Support sales operations through multitasking, CRM coverage and cash office management under pressure.
• Build trust with customers, prepare pro forma invoices and follow up on quotations about new arrivals.

Required profile

• University education preferred.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar retail sales role.
• Strong customer focus and initiative in selling practices.

• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Sales-driven, results-oriented approach.
• Excellent multitasking under pressure.
