Rooms Controller

About the role

The Rooms Controller ensures seamless coordination of room inventory, allocations and guest arrivals at DELANO Dubai, working closely with Front Office, Housekeeping, Reservations and other operational teams to uphold luxury standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily room assignments, considering guest preferences, VIP status and special requests.
• Monitor room availability and status throughout the day, maintaining accuracy across systems.
• Review upcoming arrivals and departures, identifying early arrivals, room moves and special requirements.
• Coordinate room allocations for VIPs and repeat guests, ensuring preferences are communicated and actioned.
• Collaborate with Housekeeping and Front Office to prioritize room readiness and efficient release.
• Maintain clear communication between operational departments to support smooth daily operations.
• Ensure accurate maintenance of room status, allocations and guest profiles within the PMS.
• Anticipate and resolve potential room‑related challenges to deliver a seamless arrival experience.

Required profile

• Previous experience in Front Office, Rooms Control or Reservations within a luxury or lifestyle hotel.
• Strong understanding of room inventory, allocation and Front Office operations.
• Experience working with a hotel Property Management System (PMS).
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and coordination skills across operational departments.
• Confident working in a fast‑paced environment, especially during high occupancy periods.
• Strong guest focus with proactive problem‑solving abilities.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
