Sea Logistics Sales Representative

About the role

Kuehne+Nagel is hiring a Sea Logistics Sales Representative in Dubai for its Freight Forwarding team. The role focuses on generating new business with SME customers, with a deep understanding of the trade lanes, including sailings, transit times, documentation rules and the goods traded on each route.

Key responsibilities

• Generate new business opportunities with a clear focus on SMEs
• Take pricing decisions in line with the Customer Care Managers
• Prepare quotations with online tools and submit proposals to customers
• Demonstrate sea logistics product and trade knowledge and deliver presentations on main products
• Monitor competition by gathering pricing and product information
• Report customer complaints to the Customer Care Team
• Work with the Customer Care Team on onboarding new customers and complete the Customer Promise/CCL handover form
• Maintain and update customer information in CoreLOG and perform CRM tasks
• Review customer portfolios regularly with the CCL managers and Customer Care Team, and close customer deals

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree
• At least 5 years of professional experience as a field sales representative in the forwarding or logistics sector
• Reliable, trustworthy and serious demeanour
• Excellent negotiating and closing skills, able to work independently and in an organised way
• Good spoken and written English
• Valid driving licence and able to travel

Required skills

• Very good computer skills, particularly MS Office
• Use of CoreLOG and CRM systems
