Secondary English Teacher (Key Stages 3‑5)

About the role

Al Rabeeh Academy is seeking experienced and passionate English teachers to join our dynamic, high‑performing team for an immediate start. As a Secondary English Teacher in an international British curriculum school, you will deliver high‑quality teaching across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, covering GCSE and A‑Level English.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, well‑structured lessons in line with British curriculum standards, teaching English up to at least GCSE level.
• Model strong literacy, analytical and communication skills through creative teaching approaches.
• Use a range of formative and summative assessment strategies to monitor and support student progress.
• Contribute to curriculum planning, departmental development and the creation of high‑quality teaching resources.
• Support the academic and pastoral well‑being of students, promoting the school’s values, routines and high expectations.
• Build strong, positive relationships with parents through clear communication about progress and next steps.
• Participate actively in school events, professional development and broader whole‑school initiatives.

Required profile

• Fluent English speaker.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant subject with PGCE/QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching the English National Curriculum, preferably in an international setting.
• Strong classroom management skills and commitment to student wellbeing.
• Excellent communication, teamwork and organisational skills.
