Security Officer (6-Month Mission, SIRA License Required)

About the role

A 6-month security officer mission is offered at Sofitel Dubai The Palm, a 5-star beachfront resort on the Palm Jumeirah, managed by Accor. The role covers security patrols, guest and colleague safety, and first aid support, and requires a SIRA licence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide consistent, professional and proactive guest service while collaborating with colleagues.
• Patrol all areas and buildings regularly to ensure safety and security.
• Manage trespassers and unauthorized individuals on the property.
• Carry out security and baggage checks as necessary.
• Monitor CCTV cameras and take appropriate action to protect guests and colleagues.
• Report vehicle violations such as parking issues, speeding and dangerous driving.
• Respond promptly to activated fire prevention systems, investigate causes and report findings.
• Address guest and staff concerns, offering first aid and casualty care in a timely, compassionate way.
• Build strong working relationships with all departments, record daily shift activities and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Participate in hotel committees and perform other duties as required.

Required profile

• SIRA licence required.
• Previous security or safety experience in a luxury hotel is preferred.
• First aid and CPR certification required; Advanced First Aid preferred.
• Fire safety or firefighter training is an asset.
• Ability to work rotating day and night shifts, split shifts and extended hours including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
