Senior Accountant - Real Estate

About the role

A UAE real estate developer is looking for an experienced, commercially driven and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage its finance operations while supporting the commercial, sales and customer lifecycle. The role works closely with Sales, CRM, Legal, Customer Service, Projects and Senior Management to ensure financial accuracy from booking through project handover.

Key responsibilities

• Review, verify and validate Sales Purchase Agreements (SPA) before execution, ensuring financial terms match approved pricing, payment plans and management approvals
• Monitor customer payment schedules and milestone collections, and coordinate with Sales and Legal on SPA amendments, transfers and cancellations
• Verify booking amounts, instalment schedules, discounts, incentives and rebates, and ensure revenue recognition complies with SPAs and IFRS
• Reconcile CRM sales records with ERP and accounting systems, and generate reports on collections, outstanding balances, revenue, and broker commissions
• Monitor receivables, track overdue accounts and prepare aging reports, reconciliations and collection forecasts
• Manage project accounting, development expenditure and escrow accounts, and review treasury transactions and payment approvals
• Ensure accurate VAT treatment of real estate transactions and compliance with RERA, AML and escrow regulations
• Maintain audit-ready financial records and support management reporting

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline
• Minimum 8-10 years of finance experience, including 5-8 years in a UAE real estate developer
• Strong expertise in SPAs and developer finance operations
• Experience in customer collections, receivables management, instalment payment plans and revenue accounting

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with Salesforce CRM, ERP systems and real estate financial systems
• Knowledge of UAE VAT, RERA and escrow regulations
• Analytical, leadership, communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
