Senior Architect

About the role

Nova International General Contracting is seeking an experienced Senior Architect to join its team in the UAE. You will work closely with project managers, engineering teams, consultants and subcontractors to ensure the design intent is fully coordinated and correctly implemented on site.

Key responsibilities

• Review architectural drawings, specifications and BOQs for completeness and buildability.
• Coordinate architectural details with structural, MEP and other disciplines to avoid clashes and delays.
• Prepare and review shop drawings, material submittals and method statements.
• Liaise with consultants and clients for design clarifications and approvals.
• Ensure site works are executed in line with approved drawings and project specifications.
• Support site teams with technical guidance and resolve architectural issues during construction.
• Monitor progress and contribute to timely project delivery while maintaining quality standards.
• Assist in managing variations, design changes and as‑built documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
• 12‑15 years of experience in a contracting environment in the UAE.
• Experience on high‑end residential or branded residence projects is preferred.
• Good understanding of local regulations and authority requirements.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in other relevant architectural software.
