Senior BIM Modeler

About the role

Parsons Corporation is hiring a Senior BIM Modeler in Abu Dhabi for its expanding portfolio of infrastructure projects. The role involves working closely with designers, drafters and engineers to deliver coordinated design, using advanced CAD and BIM techniques to produce complex layout and design drawings that meet company and industry standards and codes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare complex layout and design drawings on a CAD workstation, using theoretical and practical design knowledge.
• Interpret and ensure conformance with applicable standards, codes, company policies and procedures.
• Work with engineers and other disciplines to ensure coordinated design systems, and develop alternate design layouts as required.
• Ensure compliance with design safety factors, tolerances and specifications.
• Review supplier data and manufacturer drawings, and check orthographic (2D) and isometric (3D) drawings prepared by others.
• Perform checking procedures as assigned by the immediate supervisor and assist in training junior designers.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
• Wet utilities experience is required.

Required skills

• Civil 3D, Navisworks, BIM 360 and AutoCAD (essential)
• ProjectWise, Synchro, Bluebeam Studio, Autodesk Inventor Professional, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Revit Structure and Dynamo (preferable)
• Strong PC and CAD skills and efficiency with design software
