Senior Civil / Structural Design Engineer (Oil & Gas)

About the role

The Senior Civil / Structural Design Engineer is responsible for performing and supporting civil and structural engineering design activities for Oil & Gas facilities. The role covers analysis, design, review and coordination of civil and structural work across the project.

Key responsibilities

• Perform civil and structural analysis and design for Oil & Gas facilities
• Develop and review structural design calculations, engineering analyses and technical documentation
• Carry out structural modelling, analysis and design using STAAD.Pro and MAT3D
• Apply American design codes such as AISC and ACI, and ensure designs meet TOTAL GS (General Specification) requirements
• Review drawings, calculations and deliverables for technical accuracy and compliance
• Provide technical input and engineering solutions for structural design issues during project execution
• Coordinate civil/structural interfaces with other disciplines and take part in design reviews and technical coordination
• Identify design discrepancies and technical risks and support design clarifications and engineering changes
• Maintain engineering documentation and design records and support the engineering team throughout the assignment

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum 12+ years of relevant professional experience
• Extensive structural design experience in the Oil & Gas industry
• Experience on major Oil & Gas, EPC/EPCC or similar projects is highly desirable
