Senior Construction Project Manager (15-20 Years Experience)

About the role

Hashim is looking for a senior Construction Project Manager with 15-20 years of experience to lead high-value construction projects in Abu Dhabi. The role covers planning, execution, monitoring and delivery of projects in full compliance with Abu Dhabi authorities, contractual obligations, quality standards and HSE requirements. The position is full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a project from its initial phase to completion and ensure compliance with Hashim's HSE policy.
• Prepare and implement a detailed plan and strategy for the assigned project and lead and motivate the project team.
• Train project staff and take part in verifying bidder lists, pre-qualification evaluations, tender enquiries, and selecting engineering consultants, PMCs and contractors, defining technical evaluation criteria.
• Control the quality and progress of work by licensors, engineers and contractors, identify bottlenecks and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure materials and equipment meet contract requirements and specifications.
• Develop the schedule, cost estimate and budget, review them for management approval, and monitor budget, schedule and quality throughout execution.
• Set up the project organisation, manage procurement, purchase orders and contracts, and handle change orders and claims.
• Coordinate with the end user, engineer and contractor, and with other divisions on the annual work programme, budget and engineering packages.
• Produce weekly progress reports, certify contractor and vendor invoices and endorse final acceptance certificates.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline; PMP or a Master's degree is an advantage.
• 15-20 years of total construction experience, with at least 8-10 years in Abu Dhabi.
• Experience managing large-scale residential, commercial, infrastructure or mixed-use projects.
• Preferred: experience with main contractors or PMC companies in Abu Dhabi, projects above AED 200 million, and strong authority liaison and stakeholder management.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Abu Dhabi construction regulations and authority processes.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, AutoCAD and MS Office.
• Understanding of FIDIC contracts, planning, cost control and claims management.
• Leadership, communication, reporting and negotiation skills, and ability to manage fast-track, high-pressure projects.
