Senior Cytotechnologist / Cytoscreener

About the role

King’s College Hospital London – Dubai is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Medical Laboratory Technologist/Cytoscreener to join its multidisciplinary laboratory team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in cytology screening, quality assurance, and diagnostic accuracy to support high‑quality patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Perform cytology screening with high diagnostic accuracy for gynecological and non‑gynecological specimens.
• Review and verify cytology results in accordance with laboratory policies and regulatory standards.
• Ensure compliance with DHA and international accreditation standards such as CAP and ISO15189.
• Participate in quality control, quality assurance, and proficiency testing programs.
• Collaborate with pathologists and clinical teams to support timely diagnostic workflows.
• Train, mentor, and support junior technologists as needed.
• Maintain meticulous documentation and contribute to continuous process improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent.
• DHA‑licensed Cytoscreener or DHA eligibility letter.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in cytology, cytoscreening, or anatomic pathology.
• Strong technical skills in cytology specimen preparation, staining, and screening.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to diagnostic accuracy.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience in a JCI/CAP‑accredited hospital laboratory is an advantage.
