Senior Electrical Engineer - Greenfield

About the role

KBR Engineering is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design, engineering and commissioning of electrical systems for ADNOC offshore greenfield developments. The position is based in Abu Dhabi and supports major offshore oil and gas projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering activities from FEED through start‑up for offshore platforms, wellhead towers, processing facilities and substations.
• Develop and review design deliverables such as single line diagrams, load lists, equipment datasheets, cable schedules and earthing & lightning protection designs.
• Perform power system studies including load flow, short‑circuit, motor starting, relay coordination, arc‑flash, harmonic and transient stability analyses.
• Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, IEC, IEEE, NFPA, API and other international codes.
• Manage equipment selection for gas turbine generators, diesel generators, HV/LV distribution, switchgear and protection systems.
• Coordinate with vendors, review calculations and support procurement, construction and commissioning activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience in offshore electrical engineering within the oil & gas sector.
• Proven track record delivering greenfield projects and leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of ADNOC standards and international electrical codes.
• Ability to produce and review detailed engineering documentation and perform complex power system analyses.
