Senior Finance & Payments Manager

About the role

Brainology, a UK-based education provider supporting over 150 students weekly across its Birmingham tuition centres, is looking for a Senior Finance & Payments Manager to take full responsibility for its finance operations. This is not just an invoicing or bookkeeping role: you will manage the financial journey of every student, from trial through enrolment, funding approval, payment collection and ongoing attendance. The role is fully remote, paid AED 5,000 per month, with hours 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM Dubai Time, Monday to Friday.

Key responsibilities

• Own end-to-end student finance: contact parents about fees and funding, collect documents and coordinate with Sales and Admin so students are ready to start.
• Manage childcare funding (Universal Credit, Childcare Grant) and self-funded payments, track claims and follow up with parents on delays.
• Prepare and issue monthly invoices, track payment status, reconcile payments and chase overdue accounts.
• Take ownership of the outstanding payment backlog, agree resolution plans with parents and escalate unresolved cases.
• Keep accurate records in Teach 'n Go and internal trackers, and flag students at risk of suspension.
• Produce daily updates and weekly summaries of revenue, collections and overdue accounts, and highlight financial risks.

Required profile

• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in finance operations, accounts receivable, billing or payment collections.
• Experience managing invoicing, outstanding balances and customer accounts.
• Confident speaking directly with UK-based parents about sensitive financial matters.
• Able to manage a high volume of accounts independently and to take full ownership of the department.
• Experience in education, childcare or a subscription-based business is advantageous.

Required skills

• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong Excel and Google Sheets skills and financial tracking.
• Experience with UK childcare funding or Universal Credit is highly desirable.
