Senior Finance Specialist

About the role

Bybit, a cryptocurrency exchange and digital financial platform founded in 2018, is looking for a hands-on Senior Finance Specialist to join its team in Abu Dhabi and report directly to the Finance Manager. The role keeps finance operations accurate, timely and well controlled, focusing on financial close, payments, staff expense claims, tax compliance and audit support, and supports selected financial and regulatory reporting as the team grows.

Key responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly and annual close, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, account reconciliations and balance-sheet schedules
• Reconcile bank accounts, payment activity, vendor balances and other accounts, and investigate differences
• Analyse account movements and unusual transactions, prepare explanations and escalate matters needing accounting judgment
• Perform trade and wallet reconciliations during month-end close, comparing trade-level data from the Big Data platform with NetSuite records
• Review payment requests and invoices, coordinate payments through approval workflows, and track payment status
• Process staff expense claims and reconcile payments and reimbursements to bank statements and accounting records
• Prepare VAT reconciliations, return schedules and supporting documentation, and assist with corporate tax returns
• Support statutory audits and reviews by preparing schedules, gathering evidence and tracking outstanding items
• Work with Finance, Operations and other teams to resolve issues and suggest workflow improvements

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• At least 3 years of accounting or finance experience, including financial close and reconciliations
• Experience with payment processing, staff expense claims and approval workflows
• Practical exposure to VAT, corporate tax compliance or tax return supporting schedules
• Attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
• English at a professional working level

Required skills

• Proficiency in Excel
• Experience with an accounting or ERP system
• Nice to have: crypto, fintech or financial services experience, regulatory reporting, external auditor and tax adviser work, multi-entity accounting, and Mandarin
