Senior HSE Manager – Construction

About the role

The Senior HSE Manager will establish and maintain a robust health, safety and environmental framework for construction projects. You will develop and implement HSE strategies, ensure regulatory compliance and foster a proactive safety culture across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of HSE strategies for construction projects.
• Ensure compliance with UAE and international HSE standards and regulations.
• Identify, assess and manage risks associated with construction activities.
• Oversee contractor and subcontractor HSE performance and compliance.
• Conduct HSE inspections, audits, risk assessments and lead incident investigations.
• Define and monitor HSE KPIs, reporting to project leadership.
• Promote a proactive safety culture through training and engagement initiatives.
• Integrate HSE requirements into project execution and ensure environmental controls and waste management practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in HSE, Engineering or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of HSE experience, primarily in construction projects.
• Proven experience managing HSE teams, contractors and conducting incident investigations.
• Excellent English communication skills; Arabic is an advantage.
