Senior Manager - Financial Controller

About the role

A leading integrated steel and building materials manufacturer in the UAE is looking for a Senior Manager - Financial Controller to lead the finance function of its Steel Unit. You will report to the Group CFO and lead a team of 16 people, owning the financial integrity, compliance and performance insight that drives profitable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations (AP, AR, GL, cost accounting, inventory accounting and revenue recognition) in line with the Group Finance Director
• Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
• Ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP and local financial regulations
• Lead budgeting and forecasting, including variance analysis and performance reporting
• Provide financial insights and recommendations, analyse trends, risks and opportunities, and build financial models for capital investments, pricing and cost optimisation
• Implement and maintain internal controls and financial systems, and monitor financial KPIs across manufacturing operations
• Partner with production and supply chain teams to align financial goals with operational performance
• Coordinate internal and external audits, manage tax planning and statutory compliance, and liaise with auditors, banks and regulators
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team, foster accountability and continuous improvement, and drive automation and digital transformation of finance processes

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
• CPA, CMA or equivalent professional certification (essential)
• Minimum 10 years in financial management, with at least 5 years in a senior role within manufacturing; steel or building materials experience strongly preferred
• Fluent English; Arabic is an advantage
