Senior Monitoring & Impact Evaluation Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a highly analytical and impact‑driven Senior Monitoring & Impact Evaluation Specialist to support the effective delivery and continuous improvement of humanitarian programmes. The role ensures projects are implemented efficiently, achieve measurable outcomes, and generate meaningful social and environmental impact.

Key responsibilities

• Develop annual operational and emergency response plans aligned with organisational strategy.
• Define and refine key performance indicators (KPIs) for project monitoring and evaluation.
• Design and implement detailed monitoring frameworks to track progress and performance.
• Conduct regular field visits to assess compliance with timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Prepare comprehensive periodic evaluation reports, analysing social and environmental impact.
• Develop and enhance monitoring tools based on project KPIs and evolving needs.
• Identify deviations from implementation plans and budgets, recommending corrective actions.
• Capture lessons learned and promote continuous improvement across projects.
• Collaborate with implementation teams to ensure actionable recommendations.
• Present detailed performance reports to senior management and funding partners.
• Apply robust impact evaluation methodologies for long‑term, high‑impact initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in International Development, Public Policy, Economics, Social Sciences or related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in monitoring, evaluation, and impact assessment, preferably in humanitarian or development sectors.
• Proven ability to analyse complex data and translate findings into actionable insights.
• Experience conducting field assessments and working with diverse stakeholders.
