Senior Planning Engineer – Joinery

About the role

The Senior Planning Engineer will lead project planning and scheduling for high‑profile joinery projects at Royal Joinery. You will work closely with procurement, finance and on‑site teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
• Monitor progress, identify critical path activities and update schedules to reflect actual performance.
• Coordinate material and equipment availability with the procurement team.
• Assess risks to timelines and propose mitigation strategies.
• Prepare regular progress reports and maintain accurate project documentation.
• Evaluate change requests, adjust schedules and collaborate with project managers.
• Support quality assurance by ensuring schedules align with safety and quality protocols.
• Work with finance to track costs, forecast budgets and assist in cost control.
• Identify and implement process improvements in planning and execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in project planning and scheduling, preferably in construction.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies and project lifecycle.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Primavera P6.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project.
