Senior Procurement Officer - AI & Process Automation

About the role

A real estate development team is looking for a highly experienced, technology-driven Senior Procurement Officer. The role suits someone who knows traditional procurement and can use AI, automation tools and digital workflows to streamline and automate procurement. The person manages procurement activities, coordinates with suppliers and vendors, negotiates commercial terms and ensures timely procurement of materials and services, while also improving efficiency, accuracy, transparency and cost control.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement: sourcing suppliers, purchase orders, delivery coordination and invoice verification
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms and delivery schedules with vendors, suppliers, contractors and service providers
• Prepare bid comparisons and recommend suppliers; maintain supplier databases, contracts and pricing records
• Support procurement planning, budget control, cost analysis and reporting
• Where applicable, procure construction materials, MEP materials, equipment and subcontracted services
• Review workflows and design AI-powered, rule-based automation for purchase requisitions, quotations, purchase orders, supplier onboarding, document processing, approvals and reporting
• Build automated tracking systems and integrate with ERPs, spreadsheets and databases where feasible
• Set up automated alerts, dashboards and reports on costs, supplier performance and order status

Required profile

• Minimum 5+ years in procurement, purchasing or supply chain, preferably in real estate, construction, contracting or engineering
• Demonstrated experience implementing AI tools, workflow automation or digital process improvements in procurement
• Hands-on familiarity with tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Power Automate, Make, Zapier or n8n
• Experience with Excel automation, document extraction, reporting and workflow integration
• Previous procurement experience with a real estate developer, construction company or main contractor is preferred
• Ability to show previous automation projects with measurable efficiency gains

• Quotation comparison, purchase orders, supplier negotiations, procurement documentation, delivery tracking and cost control
• ERP, procurement management, accounting or inventory systems (an advantage)
• Analytical, organisational, negotiation and problem-solving skills
