Senior Project Manager - Master Planning and Infrastructure

About the role

WSP is looking for a highly qualified and experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong technical background in infrastructure and/or master planning to lead and oversee the design of complex Land Development projects in the UAE. The role suits someone with extensive planning and design-stage project management experience and a strong technical understanding of master planning, infrastructure, transport planning, landscaping and sustainability, able to lead multi-disciplinary teams from inception to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage Land Development master planning and design projects (Master Planning, Transport Planning, Roads, Utilities, Landscape), aligned with client objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Build and lead cross-functional project teams, giving guidance, mentorship and motivation.
• Cultivate client relationships and ensure deliverables meet or exceed expectations within budget.
• Develop project budgets, monitor expenditures and allocate resources efficiently.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Create a work breakdown structure, schedules and quality plans; control progress, scope and changes, and document variances.
• Manage procurement, including Main Agreement execution, change control and supplier/subcontractor appointments.
• Set up stakeholder and communication plans and manage stakeholder feedback and approvals.

Required profile

• Proven project management experience on the planning and design of large, complex Land Development projects in the UAE.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Land Development (e.g. Civil Engineering, Utilities, Roads, Transport Planning, Master Planning).
• Degree in a Land Development discipline preferred (e.g. Civil Engineering, Utilities, Roads, Transport Planning, Master Planning).
