Senior Safety Advisor (OSH Engineer)

About the role

KEO, an AEP/PMCM firm recognised as a top international design and project management and construction firm, is looking for a Senior Safety Advisor (OSH Engineer) to join its team in Abu Dhabi. The role maintains the effectiveness of KEO's Safety Management System on the project, gives HSE advice to staff and contractors and raises on-site health and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce safety standards in line with KEO's Health and Safety Management System and client requirements.
• Carry out facility inspections and report on conditions affecting daily operations, and track all facility-related activities.
• Provide FM technical support to maintenance teams and review work areas for potential safety hazards.
• Ensure staff wear personal protective equipment, hard hats and protective footwear and follow safety policies.
• Conduct daily inspections of the project and recommend changes where applicable.
• In emergencies, investigate accidents, write reports and recommend measures to prevent recurrence.
• Develop and implement safety policies to reduce accident-related costs, consulting managers and workers.

Required profile

• Minimum of 12 years of career experience.
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• NEBOSH International Diploma or equivalent, plus ISO-45001 Lead Auditor qualification.
• Experience on building projects in Abu Dhabi preferred.
