Senior Specialist – Commercial & Business Development

About the role

The Senior Specialist – Commercial & Business Development will drive the commercial growth of Abu Dhabi Food Hub by identifying, developing and converting business opportunities across the UAE food ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities aligned with target sectors and commercial strategy.
• Build and maintain a qualified prospect pipeline across food trading, FMCG, F&V, wholesale, distribution, retail and HORECA.
• Qualify prospects based on business fit, infrastructure requirements, product relevance and strategic value.
• Support preparation and negotiation of commercial proposals, LOIs and related documentation.
• Coordinate prospect requirements with Operations, Finance, Legal, Marketing and other internal stakeholders.
• Support commercial events, trade missions, exhibitions and other lead‑generation activities.

Required profile

• Approximately 6‑8 years of progressive experience in business development, commercial development, sales or key account management within the UAE food market.
• Strong network and relationships with food traders, importers, distributors, wholesalers, retailers, FMCG and HORECA operators.
• Proven ability to translate customer requirements into commercial value propositions and close opportunities.
• Experience working cross‑functionally with Operations, Finance, Legal and Marketing.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of CRM and business‑development tools.
• Strong analytical and reporting abilities.
• Ability to prepare and present commercial proposals and business cases.
