Senior Specialist FinTech - Payment Acceptance

About the role

Talabat, part of the Delivery Hero Group, is looking for a Senior Specialist FinTech focused on payment acceptance. The role sits at the intersection of payment performance, commercial analysis and operational accountability, and suits someone who works independently, challenges assumptions and turns analytical findings into clear recommendations for senior leadership and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Own payment performance analytics end-to-end, diagnosing root causes behind acceptance rate shifts, acquirer-level anomalies and CPO movements
• Validate claims from payment providers, product teams and processing partners through independent data analysis
• Lead deep-dive investigations into payment performance issues and operational gaps, presenting findings to senior directors and driving resolution across teams
• Drive projects from feasibility and commercial evaluation to rollout support with cross-functional teams
• Evaluate internal and external opportunities aligned with the fintech strategy and project manage their execution

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in Strategy or Operations roles within a tech, e-commerce or fintech organisation
• Prior exposure to fintech is required
• Strong solution orientation, ownership and urgency, and ability to lead through influence
• Collaborative, adaptable and able to work across product, legal, marketing, fraud and business operations teams
• Naturally skeptical, able to question assumptions and trace anomalies to their source

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of the payments ecosystem: acquirer processing, issuer decline logic, 3DS authentication flows, scheme rules and settlement mechanics
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and/or Excel/Sheets, or BI platforms, able to build analyses and reconcile datasets independently
