Senior Specialist – OSD Production/Packaging Team Leader

About the role

Julphar is seeking a Senior Specialist/Team Leader to oversee OSD production and packaging operations. The role ensures compliance with GMP and regulatory standards while driving efficiency and product quality in a controlled manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the OSD production and packaging process, including granulation, compression, coating, and packaging.
• Coordinate with supply chain, planning, and warehouse teams to guarantee material availability.
• Maintain compliance with cGMP, WHO, SFDA, USFDA, MHRA and other regulatory requirements.
• Mentor and train production staff on SOPs, GMP guidelines, and safety procedures.
• Ensure proper equipment calibration, maintenance, and identify process improvement opportunities.
• Prepare the plant for regulatory inspections and manage audit documentation.

Required profile

• B. Pharm, M. Pharm or M.Sc. in Pharmaceuticals, Chemistry or related field.
• 6‑10 years of OSD pharmaceutical manufacturing experience, with 2‑3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of GMP and regulatory compliance (cGMP, WHO, SFDA, USFDA, MHRA).
• Hands‑on experience operating OSD equipment such as granulators, tablet presses, coating machines and blenders.
• Equipment calibration, maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Process optimization and cost‑reduction techniques.
• Preparation of batch manufacturing records, SOPs and validation protocols.
