Senior Specialist - UI & Design System (UAE National Only)

About the role

ADCB is looking for a Senior Specialist in UI and Design System within its Group Business Support (GBS) unit, a team that drives the bank's digital evolution and customer experience. The role focuses on owning and evolving the bank's in-house design system and improving how it supports teams and digital products. The position is open only to UAE nationals.

Key responsibilities

• Own and evolve the in-house design system, including foundations, component libraries, patterns, documentation, governance, releases and adoption.
• Bring external perspectives, emerging design practices and responsible AI-enabled workflows to the team.
• Explore ways to connect Figma, design-system documentation and LLM tools such as Claude to automate design activities and improve consistency, with review and governance.
• Create, simplify or evolve reusable components and patterns, balancing consistency with emerging product needs.
• Partner with engineering teams on specifications and design-to-development ways of working, and engage product, business and technology stakeholders.
• Review implemented experiences against approved designs and the design system, and fix visual, responsive, accessibility and interaction gaps.
• Create high-quality, accessible interfaces and prototypes across web, mobile and other digital touchpoints, translating UX flows into development-ready designs.

Required profile

• At least 7 years of experience in digital product or UI design, including hands-on delivery across web, mobile and other channels, with experience owning, building or evolving an omnichannel design system.
• Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, Digital Design or a related field.
• Ability to challenge established approaches constructively and to collaborate across UX, product, business and engineering teams in an Agile environment.

Required skills

• Advanced Figma, including libraries, components, variables, prototyping and design system documentation.
• Advanced Zeroheight or an equivalent design system documentation platform.
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, responsive design, native mobile conventions, accessibility standards and front-end principles; familiarity with JavaScript and modern front-end frameworks is beneficial.
• Experience with AI-assisted design workflows and LLM integrations, such as connecting Figma with tools like Claude.
