Senior Structural Engineer - Site

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer – Site to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this pivotal role you will oversee on‑site structural engineering operations for building projects, ensuring design integrity, safety and quality throughout execution.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all structural and civil engineering activities on‑site, ensuring compliance with approved designs, specifications and applicable codes.
• Conduct detailed structural inspections, quality audits and testing to verify workmanship and material compliance.
• Identify and analyse structural issues, implementing corrective measures to maintain project quality and schedule.
• Review and approve structural drawings, shop drawings and construction methodologies before implementation.
• Manage structural testing programmes, including material, load and non‑destructive testing.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers and site teams, promoting technical excellence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 10 + years of civil/structural engineering experience, with at least 5 years in senior site supervision on large‑scale projects.
• Proven ability to manage complex high‑rise, commercial or mixed‑use developments.
• In‑depth knowledge of international codes (ACI, BS, Eurocodes) and UAE local regulations.
• Chartered Engineer or Professional Engineer certification preferred; PMP is an advantage.
