Senior Structural Engineer – Site

About the role

The Senior Structural Engineer will lead technical review and management of all structural submissions during construction, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, design intent, international standards and UAE regulations. The role focuses on reinforced concrete, structural steel and themed entertainment projects.

Key responsibilities

• Review and assess structural shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, RFIs, temporary works and engineering calculations.
• Coordinate structural requirements with architectural, MEP, façade, theming, ride and infrastructure teams to resolve clashes.
• Provide technical guidance to site supervision teams, evaluate site‑related issues and propose engineering solutions.
• Prepare technical comments on contractor submissions, review variation requests and support claim assessments.
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, project specifications, international codes and authority requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of structural engineering experience, including at least 5 years in construction supervision in the UAE or GCC.
• Proven experience with reinforced concrete, structural steel, temporary works and theming/entertainment projects.
• Strong multidisciplinary coordination and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred) and professional engineering license.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ACI, AISC, Eurocodes, British Standards, ASTM and UAE building codes.
• Advanced understanding of reinforced concrete and structural steel design, connection detailing and fabrication.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software such as SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro.
• Familiarity with BIM coordination and model review processes.
