Senior Tax Specialist

About the role

Mair Group is looking for a Senior Tax Specialist to support the Head of Tax in managing direct and indirect tax affairs across the Group and its subsidiaries. The role ensures compliance, reduces tax leakages, mitigates risks and identifies planning opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file corporate tax and VAT returns and produce tax reports for management.
• Review contracts and intercompany agreements to minimise tax leakages and support proper structuring.
• Assist in implementing tax‑efficient domestic structures and tax planning initiatives.
• Monitor tax law changes, assess impact and coordinate with external advisors and auditors.
• Ensure subsidiaries comply with indirect tax requirements, including invoicing standards.
• Support corporate initiatives by assessing tax implications of business activities and perform special tax projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, tax or related field (Master’s a plus).
• Professional tax certification preferred (ACCA, CPA, CA, CTA or equivalent).
• 4‑6 years of tax experience covering corporate tax and VAT, preferably in retail (FMCG/grocery) and/or real estate.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems (SAP or equivalent) and strong Excel data‑analysis skills.

Required skills

• Technical tax knowledge applied to contracts, pricing and operations.
• Proficiency with SAP (or similar ERP) for tax reconciliations.
• Advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting.
