Site Engineer - Fit-Out

About the role

Careers International is hiring a Site Engineer for fit-out projects in Dubai. The role supervises and monitors all site works related to interior fit-out and joinery installations, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors and internal teams to ensure smooth workflow and resource allocation.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals and method statements before work starts.
• Conduct site inspections and maintain quality control and workmanship standards.
• Resolve technical and site issues with the project team and track progress, reporting daily or weekly updates to the Project Manager.
• Ensure work follows safety standards and company HSE policies, and coordinate with consultants, clients and authorities for inspections and approvals.
• Manage and control site materials and inventory to avoid wastage or delay, and meet the project schedule and milestones.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in interior fit-out and joinery site execution; UAE experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of fit-out materials, joinery details and construction practices.
• Excellent coordination, problem-solving and team management skills, plus strong reporting and documentation abilities.

Required skills

• Familiarity with reading architectural, MEP and structural drawings.
• Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD; knowledge of project scheduling tools is an advantage.
• Understanding of HSE procedures and site safety regulations.
