Solutions Architect CS MENAT

About the role

AWS is looking for an experienced Solutions Architect for its MENAT region, based in Dubai/Abu Dhabi with 25-50% travel to Middle East countries. The role partners with customers, AWS Sales and other AWS teams to design scalable, flexible and resilient cloud architectures, helps organisations adopt AWS best practices and migrate workloads to the cloud, and drives revenue growth with sales. It suits someone with a background in software or technology sales or consulting.

Key responsibilities

• With the sales team, formulate and execute a sales strategy to exceed revenue targets through AWS adoption
• Help build and migrate applications, software and services on the AWS platform
• Educate customers of all sizes on the value of AWS and take part in deep architectural discussions
• Deliver one-to-one and one-to-many training sessions for customers adopting or already using AWS
• Share best-practice knowledge with the AWS solutions architect community
• Contribute to customer-facing publications such as whitepapers
• Build relationships with senior technical people in customers so they become cloud advocates
• Act as technical liaison between customers, service engineering teams and support

Required profile

• 7+ years of IT development, implementation or consulting in software or internet industries
• 4+ years in specific technology domains such as cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking or data and analytics
• 2+ years designing, implementing or consulting on applications and infrastructure
• Proven track record in software or technology sales or consulting, with strategic thinking on business, product and technical challenges

Preferred qualifications

• Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
• Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective
